kingzooly indeed! , Iam very impressed overall with APMS. I have been able to build several small utilities and combined with Purebasic it is an execellent resource for RAD. Both are infact.
What is quite tricky to do in APMS is simple in PB!.. for example Sending an Email from your gmail account for example. With PB is only several lines of code. The tricky thing with APMS is finding plugins/actions.. as the dev's have long since left and their respective websites have vanished.

But you are correct APMS is an awesome tool. Still the pricing structure needs adjusting. As it is quite outdated.. see inbuilt Sample Projects for example. That aside it is a great tool and I have enjoyed exploring all its nooks and crannies!

What Iam curious about atm is Plugin Development for APMS. would you recommend any resources / links / tutorials on how to get started in this area?

curious1 I can tell you now there is SO much you can still do with AMS lol I made image download tools to app modding tools, I made custom music players all the way to what I am working on now a custom minecraft launcher app, I also in the past made encrption apps stand alone and email like message box apps, if your willing to put the time and research you can make many things, you also have to remember how many things still use bat files and so on, well you can make GUI's that tirgger them also let your mind free

colc that's pretty impressive dude you must have some pretty cool apps/mods compiled over there. I'll definately figgure out how to implement the drag-n-drop plugin into current project as that's awesome. I was beginning to feel that I had nearly exhausted my use for APMS when that popped up only other thing Iam trying to figgure out currently is some kind of transparent ListBoxes which from my understanding is not really possible without some plugin long since vanished ListBoxEx or something.. :/

I guess when it comes to file(s) that ListBoxes are not really the best approach but more so the more advanced GridBox thing.. but that seems to overwhelm me somewhat atm.
But I can see that by using that we can have file Attributes and dates etc listed beside the FileNames which is I guess better then just displaying the FileName inside of a ListBox.
Perhaps you have a sample project which displays a directory inside of one of these GridBox things that I could study ?

Anyway cool to see that you are active in the community and also for you help is very much appreciated.

I was researching it for a bit after replying to this post and there was mention of using something called MemoryEx? more info here I looked into it for a little bit but it seems a lot more advanced then my basic level of intellect at this point in time.

However I will install this now and see what happens.

colc nice find , the thing that startled me for a while was the number format for colors. Which I'd never seen before. Of course just like buying a car you never notice how many similar 'cars' there are until you own one yourself.. and then you see them everywhere.Thanks for the post.

We can over look so many things when creating things in anything, I been using something for a few years and the other day learnt something new, I can't remember what it was but it was like epic I didn't even know that nice to learn something new now and then.

Since Colors are a Peculiar issue with regards to APMS and not being
able to find anything online in regards to speciffic color-codes

I have not used it because of the price curious1 I have used other game makers before but I also made my own RPG engine in AMS, I not really bothred about making games as no game maker will ever make a good game, I made so many thing's in the past and diff apps, I just seem to come back to AMS lol also PM me and I happly send you my discord where I sometimes post links to my live stream devs and images of the builds and at times demos

and/or grids.. havent tackeled them grids as yet.. but will do so..

kingzooly your launcher sounds cool indeed. Ive personally never played Minecraft (at least for more then 5mins) but my son did.. hes moved onto other games atm..

Have you dabbeled into GameMaker Studio at all? like APMS it also has alot to offer.. Combined they would make a great toolbox

Alas theyre both quite expensive .. Forcing low income Indy Devs to goto UnrealEngine4 which offers more then all of them for nothing..

thats probably why these chaps should seriously consider revamping price-structures opening APMS upto a wider audience and reaping alot more income.

simple math would indicate:

single Licence 1 developer $99 + 5% royalties with an annual subscription to updates for 20%-30% p/a

is alot better then $300 + 0% royalties and 6months sub with the indication to purchase again then next version...

people arnt gonna come back.. tbh.

offering this puppy for <$100 USD ofc could land 10:1 customers in the scale of things. And if any of those projects produce income then you could be in the money right there @5% of the profits (taxes considered)

anyway yup all good either way..
