  • Selecting data from 'Grid'

    Ok you guys, I have an excel table exported as both *.csv and/or a text file. I have two versions, one with Names listed on the left with the ticket numbers running on to the right and another with Names along the top with tickets listed below vertically listed, both have upto 100+ 'Ticket Numbers'. Can I use the 'Grid' option? and/or, how do I extract the data from a Grid or Table in order to display/save the info of the individual Name/Member ( I can random select a number and display it in two different 'windows')

    The reason for the 'Tables' is to select winning ticket for the member

    HLP!!!!!!!

    Hi Phil Merry It is a bit hard to understand what you are trying to achieve without either an example of your project or excel file.
    For example maybe your options could be the job could be done completely in excel with VBA - imported into AMS using Sqlite3 database,
    then everything can be done from there without excel. The list goes on.
    Here an example of what the grid object does

      The Grid object does my head in, for sure.

      But there's also this here example - done by someone from back in 2010 (can't remember who the author is, sorry - so credit to whoever it was).

      It's a GradeBook which demonstrates loading and exporting of databases (viz. textfile table) to display as data in the Grid object. It may be of some help.

        //EDIT

        Santiago Csirke was the author ... for what it's worth.

        Also, apologies for the uploaded apz being a whopping 4.21mb. Somehow the project's excutable got tangled up in there (don't worry, I'm not embedding malware, LOL). Here we go, have cleaned the gunk out, so scrap that first upload and grab this one instead:
