If you compress it, it should go down to 2-3Mb which is manageable to e-mail it to me or upload on your server and provide me the link etc

To minimize the log, simply start ProcMon, disable capture events, clear the log then prepare yourself. Start the capture and immediately start AMS then upon crash, disable capturing, save and compress

The log is way too filtered out and we cannot understand the perspective in which the error occurs. It seems it has trouble accessing "My Computer" registry for some reason. If you could privately send me a complete log, I would take a look. You need to enable all the monitoring, also files and for all processes, something somewhere interacts.

I am still waiting for Magellan's log as well.

I have tested AMS on several systems and none caused any problems so far so it must be something particular to some systems like yours.

One quick thought, do you have DEP enabled for all applications? (question for Magellan as well). If your DEP is on for all application please either add an exception for AMS OR better yet for the sake of testing, enable DEP only for system services then try to run AMS again.

How to turn on/off DEP in Windows XP or windows Vista?

    In windows XP,

    Log in as administrator
Open the Start menu, right-click on My Computer and Choose “Properties” from the context menu.
On the “System Properties” window, click the “Advanced” tab .
    click settings button under Performance
click the “Data Execution Prevention” tab
choose either “Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select:” or “Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only to select the OptIn policy”
If you choose “Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select:“, click Add to add the programs that you do not want to use the DEP feature.
    Click OK twice
Restart the computer for the changes to take effect

    In Windows Vista,

    Log in as administrator
Open the Start menu and right-click “Computer”
Choose “Properties” from the context menu.
Choose “Advanced system settings” from under “Tasks” in the left pane.
Approve the User Account Control query (You will have to be an administrator to do it).
Click the button “Settings” in the Performance section.
Click the tab “Data Execution Prevention”
choose either “Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select:” or “Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only to select the OptIn policy”
If you choose “Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select:”, click Add to add the programs that you do not want to use the DEP feature.
    Click OK twice
Restart the computer for the changes to take effect

    Hello,

I tried process Monitor, but i get about 100 000 results. A lot of them are successfull but some others are faulty. Unfortunately, the end seems only to show successfull results so i don't know what or where to look at.

If it can be of any help, i could send you the log of the filtered process.

Not sure what's your level of experience but you could use ProcMon to monitor the actions of the program and see what's the last action performed before the crash, it should give a clue to what's going on.

    Hello,

The problem happens right after the splash screen.

Thanks for your reply. I've tried reinstalling Direct X but that didn't solve my problem. If it can be of any help, here's the memory address that cannot be read : The instruction is 0x0047e4d8 and it uses the memory 0x00000004.

    Kind regards,

    Sylvain

    Error after run

    Hello everyone,

Today, i wanted to try the new version of Autoplay Media Studio and after installation, there's no way for me to make it start. Everytime i do, i receive an application error telling me that some part of a memory address cannot be read.

I've tried to uninstall it, clean my registry and choose another folder for installation, but the problem remains the same.

I'm wondering if this could be caused by earlier media studios versions and installations i had on my compturer. Maybe there's a file in the windows system directory that needs to be erased or replaced. I don't know.

For your information, i'm using Windows XP SP3 and up to date.

    Your help is welcome,

    Thank you
Working...
