This was made with PE,
It pulls images from a anime site and lets you download them to your local anime library.
this app was by me downloading does not all use http thanks to Sakuya, his app is better that does the same thing as it offers more source and hes just a better programmer then I am
.

Download Demo from Google Code

This is a long version I am going to be working on a new one soon as a few ideas, bugs and other projects are out of the way.

Very cool stuff everyone. If any of you release your projects and are using the Personal Edition please let us know. We'd love to know what's out there that uses the Personal Edition.

Woah that's pretty awesome. Do you think you can release the plugin that you're using to send voice commands?Originally posted by boku View PostThis is what/whom I am currently working on at this minute...
inspired by http://projectjarvis.com/
I decided to try and develop something similar

The way it/he works is as follows, Alfred just sits there waiting for input from a mic using a speech to text program (see website above for concept)
So... on the bottom is where I can type voice commands (so I don't annoy the wife with all my jibba jabba :P)
The commands are loaded from a file in the same location as the exe in a simple structure like so (below). The first part is the text (from speech) that I have to say in order to run the script. This keeps the file size of the main app small.
Version 1 works really well, but I am re-writing Alfred from scratch because I've learnt so much more and there more awesome plugins which I can use now.Code:close = close.lua shut down = shutdown.lua restart = restart.lua
With version 1 (just to give you an idea of what can be done)
I build him with a calendar system, so I would get alarms for work on weekdays (with radio too), to put the bins out on monday, birthdays, public holidays (wouldn't turn on my work alarm if the day was a public holiday) etc.
He has text to voice, so he can litterally speak, and also detects if I have music on so wont speak unless told to, in which case he would turn the music down and then speak and then turn it back up (fade in/out)
Would monitor my bandwidth direct from my ISP and warn me if I was getting low and also if I asked would tell me how much I had left (bandwidth) etc
Would notify me of when my torrents finish downloading
Would give me weather information when requested (I also enabled this to give me the weather forecast for a workday alarm before it turned on the radio)
etc
Whatever your imagination can think of try and do it, basically...

Nice one mate.
You seem to have been in a few wars lately. Well the worse it's been, the better it's gonna get. I'm sure you're familiar with Spinrite from GRC? As far as i know it's the best data recovery software there is.
Even if you don't recover your data, i've got a feeling the tide's on the turn for you mate
