referring to the manual for guidance is absolutely essential when you hit a 'brick wall'
in that circumstance i would highly recommend going straight to the nearest hospital, but if you really think the manual will help then ok, but i would seek medical advice and a good mechanic!, lol

cmon guys, you all know me, i like to help when i can, but in recent times im just to dam tired to go writing code for myself let alone other people, the RTFM crank is just for laughs, and well, i know it annoys some people, but my own mother always called me a "annoying little git" so i have to live up to her expectations

word to the wize (and unwize) don't take me to seriously, you'll give yourself a headache while im sitting here chuckling, maybe mys was right about my SOH, a little twisted, warped even, but thats just me, you think im bad at the forum, you should try working with me..... you would really hate me then HaHaHa

Good job I don't have to rely on what I've learned by reading manuals!

I'm happy to help if I can when I see some evidence of the person asking a question having made an attempt to sort it for themself.

It's always been an effort for me to get my head around new concepts so I feel a certain empathy when I think that someone is in the same position that I've been in myself in the past.

Having said all that I agree that referring to the manual for guidance is absolutely essential when you hit a 'brick wall'.

encouraged me enough to finally go on and read the manual
^^ that has become my main goal in life, i want all AMS users to worship the help file like those weekend door knockers worship the Watchtower magazine, the help file is your saviour, it will lead you from the darkness into the light and it wont ask for any donations along the way!!

read it, or regret it!, for if you refuse to read thy holy grail of AMS programming and seek direction with such things listed therein, prepare to meet thy wrath of RTFM!

thanks very much. Ok I understood this code. But now how can I links the texts with the files?? Sorry be patient with me...

For example: the comobox consists of:

1-select ................ will not open any thing
    2-water ................. will open a file named "water.pdf"
    3-gas .................... will open a file named "gas.pdf"

now can you write down the full code for this example. I' really grateful for your attention.
