Disappointed with what AMS CANNOT DO :(

I have found a number of things I just cannot make AMS do and am pretty gutted that these simple tasks cannot be achieved..

1...Make Toast..... I feel this task should be easily achievable yet the script I am using ..
Button.GetProperties ("MAKE TOAST", MAKE ME TOAST_NOW) does nothing.....bugger all...just sits there :(

2...Vacuuming..... Again AMS just totally ignores the script im using
Button.GetProperties ("VACUUM HOUSE", VACUUM HOUSE_NOW)
I ended up doing it myself and running over a toe.....Really not happy :(

3...Washing My Car.....This was pretty serious I added the script as follows..
Button.GetProperties ("WASH CAR", WASH CAR_NOW)
This could partly be my fault as I did not put the model or registration but once I added the water to my DVD drive THE SHITE REALLY HIT THE FAN...At this point im thinking .......REFUND !!
I re-wired the house today after the fire and may get back to that script later....See if there are any spelling mistakes !!

4...Walking the dog..... I think you can guess that AMS totally blanked this as well..

I understand it was raining...but even in sunny weather I don't think AMS even considered the script...Although in fairness he will fetch the disc if I throw it so I suppose that's one for AMS ...It did get the dog out but I think im being generous there..

4...Steer My Car.....Serously !! How am I expected to read a mag in the car if you cannot trust a simple script !! I fancied sitting in the back for a change and all I can say is DONT DO IT PEOPLE....I think AMS has a glitch....

First of all I thought I spelt "STEER" wrong and wrote "STEAR" but no...the spelling was fine.. So yet another big flaw in AMS.....However I have not tried them in AMS 8.2 yet and I will as soon as I get out of hospital....

Got to go now...The police want a word.....But once I tell them about AMS im sure they will drop the charges....... and Indigo Rose....I think you may be getting a visit from them !!

I am not sure what this post is about but yes there is many things AMS can't do major let down is that its single threaded this does not stop been creative but does make it harder for some tasks.

AMS really is a windows EXE with some objects and elements and you as the user have to come up with how to use them, AMS uses Lua as its scripting engine, this opens up so much to AMS, but sadly you have to still do a lot of work to be able to make a program great with AMS, remember this software was born from a autorun windows cd/launchers

I am Dyslexic and I like to think I have made some creative programs in the past thanks to AMS, there is a big learning curve when taking on something like this

Basicly if you look at the scripts I made up I am complaining that

It wont make toast..
It wont vacuum my house
It wont walk my dog
It wont steer my car for me

But everything else it will do
It was just a joke ...My point was its does absolutely everthing else
Best software I have ever purchased...

The scripts i made up are so stupid I figured people would get a laugh out of it

I think you ended the joke wrong so this is why I didn't get it or its two late in the night my brain might of already left for its holidays

I been a supporter of this software many years, and became a owner this year I glad to support them just hope they offer us a real update before my plan runs out hehe

Im the same ....I have used it on my mates computer for quite a while and made some good stuff but its always been using the basics....never really gone into the scripting etc...But he moved away so my only option was to buy it myself

Mine was trials and PE until I had the money to get it, I always said when I had the money I would buy in to the software and I stuck to my word BunnyHop is really a completed project so I am looking for my next project now lol

BunnyHop is really a completed project so I am looking for my next project now lol

I would like to build a front end for emulation software which I know AMS is capable of......but I would need to learn more to get to a good level of scripting ....

I have done this before not that good but I did do it with one of the game boy ones it would load roms cheats and things like that with one button but then they cheanged how there exe worked and removed comandline options from it so made it pointless, sounds like a fun project.

My systems started from the Nes,Snex,sage master system, sage mega and the cdx32 for it, Sage sat, Then Playstation.
I now own a Playstation, PS2,PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, Wii U, DS, Will be adding C64 and zxspec when I find a nice cheap working one, Dos games I still play, like Broken sward and Disc world.

We have a R-pi what we might end up turning into a old classic games system when I can work out to make it stable it lags something stupid at times.

I wish I was born where computers was just taking off I would of been in my element lol I love custom hardware and software but these days hardware and software are nothing like they used two, yes PC's can do more but what happened to a game that used 8 bits of info and was still fun to play, we take new tech as granted and waste the power it really has, the bios of most computers are now bigger then the hole OS/Software and other data you used to have back in the day PC's was new lol
