Keep image aspect ratio instead of resizing it to fit image object?

Hi! Is there an (easy) way to resize an image object, or stop it from resizing images, to fill the loaded image and keep their aspect ratio? It does not look very nice if images are stretched.

I want to use this in a small database where some text + an image is stored and then displayed in the app. But it does not work well (or look good) with different image sizes.

Although the plugin might indeed help in certain cases, this is probably what you are looking for.

Thanks, the resizing will be very useful! I tried the 4 checkboxes to autosize but it does not work for all objects (in page center) properly. But this will not solve the problem when loading images of different sizes into the image object?

Example: the image object ist 100x100 pixels. Image1 is is 200x200 and resized to 100x100. but it will look ok and not strechted. But if Image2 is 200x60 pixels it will be stretched and look bad.
