  • Issue of using File.Run()

    Dear Sir,

    We'd like to use the AutoPlay Media Studio 8.2 to make an installation CD for the VIA CPU(vx900) driver.

    When we use File.Run() to have an automatic installation, there is a message saying the driver could not find the corresponding chipset.
    However, when we execute the driver manually, it works find without any issue.

    Does anyone know what the possible reason is and how to fix the issue?

    P.S. We never have such an issue when we make it for the Intel CPU.

    Thank you.

    BR,
    Ann

    If you are running an installer from AutoPlay Media Studio, you need to start it with Shell.Execute() instead of File.Run(), unless your whole application was manifested to run "as administrator". This information can be found in the documentation.
