  • Windows Administrative Remote Control Desktop Access Detector! Possible to do?

    Hi:

I work on a company where, time to time, Server Administrators login into some windows computers to perfom some administrative taks!

But, sometimes they are logged into my computer and i dont know that they are logged in, except when i see the mouse moving or some windows opening!

My question is... its possible with AutoPlay Media Studio build a small utily, lets says, a LED on the systray that turns green when an administrator server loggin into my computer?
Its like a Remote Control Detector! Its possible to do?

If not, in your opinion, what can be done to detect a remote control in a windows computer?

    Thank you for support!
    Best Regards

Probably VNC is being used to access the PC remotely. Use netstat to check if there is an active connection on port 5900. However, if there is no icon in the tray telling the user that the PC is being acessed remotely, this may have been done for a reason.

      Hi Ulrich:

      Ty for reply!

There is no icon on the tray! No notification at all!

It seems to me that the Admin uses some kind of Windows Server for remote control or something!

I only know that the Admin is logged in is when i try to move the mouse and i simple can't move it! The mouse its blocked till the Admin logout!

      I really appreciate any help!
      Thank you ;-)

Gold I also have some bad news for you, there are some simpler admin tools that will let you monitor the computer 24/7 they used to use it at collage and it used the PC's built in RDP settings and screaming or VNC so it was not able to be deteccted on the client, this tool only as you said shows it self when a admin uses it, there are many tools out there that do this and almost all them will warn the admin on a given task on the computer so they can monitor your system, no company will tell there admins to login when your doing work unless your company feels there staff are not doing there work as taking over a computer would be a giving private work details out and also hinder the user to do there work.

I also think if you start using things on your company's computers I am sure you could lose your job, it makes no sense for a admin to just login to a system that is active to do any updates or changes, these is a reason admin in most placecs are there hrs before and after the normal staff leave.

That is exactly what happens! Company's computers is only for work indeed! I respect that!
The annoying part is the "big brother" vigilance without our nowledgement!

Well... if there's some solution arround, would be nice if someone share it ;-)

          Thanks a lot guys!
