Thanks for the reply bud, I was just playing with it as I thought it would be useful for a new tool I was thinking about making, I was also looking for premade command line based tools that do the same thing, long as we can mount the image ams is able to view it as a normal folder, I will give that tool alook over thanks.

I hope you are still enjoying programming in whatever form it might be, I have re taken up PriMail the cross domain messageing system I made a while back, the server side is in PHP and might request and return JSON or XML or both for the message layout not sure so the programmers can use what ever platform they want to code there clients in.

    Hey Rex,

    glad to receive your message!

To be honest, I also took some time during Xmas holydays to work on it because I needed to use a Ramdrive on my production system, but I found that also Win7 refuses to accept our stuff.

So I decided to abandone the project because I'm very busy with my job and found a free and very good product called SoftPerfect RAM Disk that does the job, allowing the creation of any number of disks and also has the possibility to save image files at defined intervals.

I suggest to give a look at it!

    All the best,

    Emanuele

    RAMDisks - to Cyber

Hey Cyber, I started up looking at the ram disk idea as I need to keep some stuff away from the main hard drive and I was going to use the ram drive idea but sadly windows 10 seems to hate the tools we used on the last versions, well I think the RamDrive 86/64 is the last one I worked on, I sure I also had problems with windows 8 when I tested it.

I know its a long project but would you want to take it back up again?
Working...
