Please help! AMS is lagging and stuck

Hi! I had this in the past a few times on Windows 8 but it was not so bad as now on Win10. Everytime I doubleclick an object or switch a tab in the object properties window (Settings/Attributes/Script) it takes 2-3 seconds before AMS responds again. When I run TaskManager it does not seem to increase CPU or Memory usage drastically and I dont know what could cause this yet. Does anyone else have a similar problem or an idea how to fix this?

I don't really see any lag at all on it, is it just in the IDE or is it in the app also.

first thing to try is to add your AMS\\install path\\AutoPlayDesign.exe to the 'exclusions' list in Windows 10's
Windows Defender settings (make sure Windows defender's definitions are uptodate).

When i upgraded from 8.1 to Windows 10:
at my end AMS 8.5.0.0 (yes the latest) design environment was rendered almost unusable
untill i did the exclusion thing mentioned here.

Otherwise add to exclusions list in your Antivirus program
Otherwise download and install the Trial version of Ams 8.5.0.0, fire up the same project
and see what that's like, if same, then its should be Antivirus interference.

The app runs fine its just in the IDE.
I added the AMSDesign.exe to WinDefender exclusion and it is much better now. Thank you very much!
The Script tab still needs about 0.5-1 sec to load but it was 3-4 sec before and the other tabs appear instantly. Now I can finally work again without waiting so long.

I would of missed that as I have almost all MS apps disabled, I my core OS is windows 10 but that is about the max I go with MS and my programs, I don't use any MS tools and I don't have any updates or metro style apps on my system,nice catch there Edgle.
