Best way to send a command to Autoplay

We have a need to send a command from another program to autoplay. Getting commands into our out of autoplay has been a bit tricky.

Does anybody have a good method for this? Basically we have a schedule built in another program that needs to send a command to autoplay to start playing a movie and then stop it.

Our other program can send rs323, midi-note, TCPIP, DMX... LOL Just about anything but I cant figure out the best way to have autoplay listen for a command.

Any help would be great.

is it on the same network or computer, you could use few options if its the same computer if its same network you have sockets or raknetlua depends on the set up really

Then there are loads of ways to do it from the app reg center built in to AMS to a ini file to other things like this, there is also examples on here on sends info from one app to another on IR, also there if you need your main app to run the ams app based on a timer and the ams app only need to usn it when the other app runs it there is also commandline example on here and Ulrichs website.
