Heh. Yeah, these baiters are quickly proliferating all over the web. There's a particularly brilliant one in the UK somewhere who actually had friends in Nigeria who took spy photos of the scammer who showed up with a bunch of cronies to kidnap him once he got off the plane in Lagos. These guys are drags on the electronic world, and any effort to delay their scams is a service to society.

Do a search for "Nigerian 419" (without the quotes) on Google - you'll see what I mean.

You mean the whole thing's a scam?! I sunk my entire life savings into a Nigerian banking speculation on Adam's advice a couple months ago and I had big plans for that money. Big, big plans. I was finally going to prototype my rocket sandals invention and... awwwww rats... I'll be danged, undanged, and then redanged, a scam you say? Shucks...

Well, no, I meant the scam baiters such as the link that you first provided are proliferating. I'm sure most folks are aware by now that this is a scam.

Yeah, I think I'm Dean Kamen. I believe that gives me an edge. For example last month when I thought I was CarrotTop I couldn't get a dang thing done, just messing up the house with a bunch of props and stuff, you know? But now... Hooboy...

BTW Eric, you know what would make a good documentary. Get Bob Sapp (MMA champ) to invest in one of these things and then send him all the way to Nigeria to meet and the guy on the other end once it all goes south. Now THAT would be fun to watch.

But seriously it would be a hoot to do a documentary which shows the whole issue from the Nigerian's side and even takes a slightly pro position toward them. That I would love. Everyone assumes here they are the "bad guys" but nature itself makes no such distinction. Those birds who rip scraps of food from the teeth of hippos are seen as heros.

I'd like to see someone scam the scammers. That would be priceless.
