I'm having problems with user elevation in MSI Factory 2.1. When my MSI file is started from a Dos Box that was run with administrative privileges, everything is OK.
But users won't start the MSI file this way. They will double click it. In this case user input is gathered before the installation is ready to start, too. The user has to provide an administrative account now. Then the installation is running, showing that it was successful. The problem: Custom Actions (batch files for creating a share, a scheduled tasks etc.) are NOT performed under the administrative context - so they fail.
Can anybody help me?
Best regards
Rob
