variable help - Autoplay v3.02

I'm presently finishing a project in Autoplay v3.02 before we upgrade to v4 - can't wait. However, I'm stumped on a last minute change. I have a text object that currently displays two rollover images. I would like to permanently hide one rollover (image object)once text object is clicked. And re-instate (image rollover) upon clicking a separate object that will appear later.

Could you briefly explain the variable I need to make this work - if it can be done? I have been in variable **** and can't seem to get this one to work. I'm sure it's something simple I'm missing.
