Please give me the steps to add a refrence to an MP3 on my HD. All I seem to be able to do is first put them in the Distribution folder and then into the app. I want them "muched" and hidden inside the app.

Re: How to add refrence to MP3 in version 4
Hi,
All references to MP3 in AutoPlay 4.0 are external references. If you would like the your MP3's "munched" try changing the name of the MP3.
So if you had an MP3 named: "TellFriends.MP3" rename the file to "AXO001.QWS" and then reference it with AutoPlay.

Yu got it!
[ I think Mark was right the first time, since munched is to have 'chewed up' - kinda like the files are after building. Re: How to add refrence to MP3 in version 4
Hi Meatballman,
You arn't really supposed to be able to pick MP3's outside of the Distribution folder. Since all MP3's are external references, they must be located in your Distribution folder for you to select them. This was done to make the burning process easier.
This is from the help file:
"The Distribution folder is where you need to put any external files that you want to distribute with your AutoPlay application. It's also where the AutoPlay application and any internal files will be built to at build time.
In other words, it's the place for all of the files that you will be distributing."
I hope this helps.
Note: You can type the path in or Right-Click and select "Insert File Path" although I don't recommend doing this unless you are testing or creating a "proprietary hard drive" application.

Right Derek,
For some reason I'm used to using the term "munched" when describing mangled names.MSI Factory The Next Generation Intelligent Setup Builder

I like "munged" although it has been pointed out to me several times now that it isn't a real word.
Well, it is to me! --[[ Indigo Rose Software Developer ]]
