How to bold text when you mouse over

I would like to make some important type boldedon the text on my page change. Is there anyway that this can be done? Even with a mouse click. I just can not seem to find a way to do this, but I know that there has to be something

I want to be able to make some points stand out. Another thought that I had was that maybe when you click on the text a photo could appear or something or a box of type with store hours. Just still trying to figure out all that this program can do with the actions. Any ideas or help is greatly appreciated.

OK:

1. To make a point stand out simply add a text object which is set to bold.

2. To make a photo appear simply add a photo to your page and then add an action to the page to hide the photo "OnShow" then simply add a PAGE>SHOW OBJECTaction to your clickable text object and set it to show the photo.

3. To show a box with store hours follow the same procedure in point 2 above but use a text object instead of an image object.

4. To get familiar with the actions simply experimenting is best. Soon we are launching a new site just for AMS and it will contain a bunch of sample projects, tutorials, a user exchange, and a bunch of sample files... So with a week or two that will be available for you too...

There's an Intermediate action example in the help file that might be helpful, too: "Toggling a variable between TRUE and FALSE" shows you how to switch between two different images when a mouse clicks on an object.

You can find the example in the help file under:

There are a lot of other examples there too that might be helpful, like "Hiding an object" and "Showing a hidden object" in the Basic section.

There's a few ways to do this. A couple have already been mentioned. One: you can create a mouseover or "rollover" effect in a flash object and bring it into AMS, or Two: you can create your text as 2 separate images, the regular text as an image file (.png, .jpeg, .bmp) and another image of the text bolded. Then bring the first image in as an image object into AMS. Under the Image Object Properties select your second image as the Mouse Over image. Then you can also add an action to it. Hope that helped.

When I go to preview the page that when I go mouse over and a photo appears and then mouse leave, it disappears (and that part is great thanks), but when i first go to that page the photo is there to start and I wanted the text there to start.

2nd question... I got it to where when I mouse over the text changes, but I can't figure out when I mouse leave how to make it go back to the original text. Thank you so very much for all of your help I can't wait to the AMS (I don't know what that means) help starts!

1. Like I said, add an action to your Page's OnShow property which does a PAGE>HIDE OBJECT on the photo. You can freely hide or unhide objects of any type.

2. If you just set an object to be visible by adding a PAGE>SHOW OBJECT action to the "On mouse over" state then logcally you need to add a PAGE>HIDE OBJECT to the same object's "On Mouse Leave" state.

Hi Christy-
Try this and see if it works. :-)
To use it, you simply go to Page/Import or CTRL-Shift-O and open this file (See attachment above my cats head). If it does what you want... Open up the Property’s of the Page and the two Text Objects and see how it was done.
