Hello,
I'm new to the "product on a CD" business. Just discovered
the IR product line. Before purchasing, I was hoping
that someone could please verify that the AMS will so what
I want...which is:
1. Check for existance of adobe acrobat reader 5.0 (or 5.1)
Install it from the CD if necessary.
2. Check for existance of apple QT6. Install from CD if
necessary.
3. Open my .pdf in the Reader (whether it did the install or
not).
This should all happen automatically for the user, with little
or no prompting.
From what I've read on the forum, it seems that checking for
presence or absence of an app (and version) is do-able. But
can you check for 2 apps (or more) and still autorun?
Is this difficult to configure. Since I write s/w for a living (but
not for windows) I'm tempted to just write it myself. But if
AMS allows me to do this quickly and robustly, it would be
worth it (I think). "Quickly" meaning a half day or so.
Thanks for any help. I appreciate it. If I can ever
contribute to this forum, I will.
