  • Hot spot over top of a Flash Object.

    Hello,
I have worked with hotspots before in 2.0 & 3.0 but never in conjunction with a flash object. I have several flash objects acting like animated gifs more or less. I was trying to place a hot spot OVER TOP of the objects to allow a user to click and proceed to page within the menu. An example would be my title page and I have two small flash objects that are animated enter or exit. I create the hotspot with a an event of mouse click and a command jump to page. I believe in 2.0 or 3.0 you could bring the hotspot to the front of an object. Can I do that here to allow this event/command to work? I can not seem to find any option to bring the hotspot to the front.

There is no way to do that with the hotspot object. What you will have to do is make your Flash movie get the mouse click and then fire a FSCommand which AMS40 can then interpret and act upon appropriately.

Yes, you must create transparent buttons in your flash. Fortunately that is very easy to do.
