  • Creating a CD and adding .exe files??

    Hi all,

New here and yes, I am still searching these forums for the answer but thought I would post since I am on a deadline here. I created .exe files in another program (only because I couldn't figure it out with AMS yet). I basically have virtual tours on a website that I was able to create .exe files with. Now, I created the realtors front page with linke (buttons) to each individual house and I want the .exe to run when the buttons are pressed. Can anyone tell me how to do this? When I try to drag the exe into the page, it says "File not supported".

If this isn't possible, can AMS create the exe for me? The other program let me jusy enter the webpage HTML file and it created the exe for me. How do you do this in AMS??

On a deadline here so any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Eric

Add a FILE>EXECUTE action to your button's onClick state which points at your .exe.

Re: Creating a CD and adding .exe files??

      Hi Corey,

Thanks, that worked. But, it seems I did not know what I needed. What I want is this. I have 2 buttons on the front page, one for each property. I am creating 2 other pages so each property has their own page. Now, on each of the 2 pages, I will put a link that says "Click here for virtual tour" that, when clicked, I want to open the .exe file. Ok, you told me how to do that. Thing is, when the file opens, I found it difficult to close (in preview mode) so I am wondering about the best way to do this as well.

Sum it up, I have 2 exe files (1 for each house) that I want to list on their seperate pages, connected to the home page. I also need them easy to close once opened.

On another note, is there an easier way to do this? Can I link the webpage files to this program instead of using the .exe I created? What would be the smartest way?

Thanks for this great program, I am looking forward to your answers.
