• too much delay between an AVI and Mpeg objects

Hi,
I am trying the following sequence: an AVI file, a Mpeg file and another AVI ( the AVIs are for simulating an effect before and after the video).
Problem is that there is a very long delay (around 10 seconds) after the first AVI before the Mpeg "kicks in".
Specs as follows: Avi are 400X300
Mpeg is 352X288 (PAL standard)
Project is 800X600
comp is a P4 with 256MB RAM, ATI Radeon VE
I am putting my specs, but I need the CD to run on a wider range of machines.
Help, tips appreciated
Thanks

Actually this is not the case at all as can be seen here:

As you can see there is no delay between those 3 AVI and MPG movies whatsoever as far as AMS is concerned... But then again I know very little about video. Your problem might be stemming from something else...

Corey,
Yes, you're right. NO delay with your files. But this is because you are using the same mediaplayer object for all your files.
In my situation, the files are not of the same size, therefore, I have to use different objects. Either MP for AVIs or AVIs as objects in AMS. Then MP for the MPeg file and back to AVI. In both cases, the initialization time is too long.
In principle, I thought about a solution where you would load the Mpeg without playing it and show it when the first AVI file ends. But I can't do it.
Any ideas?
Thanks

In this case, in would be best if you could simply match up the frame sizes for the AVI and MPEG, use a matte if need be...
