  • Web Browser Object and AMS Runtime Error

I have a web browser thats intial URL is set to http://192.168.0.10

This server is unreachable from my design machine. When I run the app, the web browser sits and spins looking for the server at 192.168.0.10. While it's spinning, if I click my button to refresh the web object, I get an AMS Runtime Error. This is only the case on the intial URL.

Does the Web Object have a Stop/Cancel that I'm not seeing?

Not that I know of, that URL is unreachable from here too BTW...

It should be, unless you have a server on your internal network with that IP address. Anyhow, it's unlikely that this would happen, at least not often. The server would respond on the machines I need to deploy to.

The thing is if the server were down, and someone (like me) were a little click happy, they'd end up with this error too, and the only way out is the three finger salute.

Blimey! Not the three fingered salute!!! Anything but the three fingered salute!!!

I once saw a three-toed sloth in National Geographic give what I perceived as a three finger salute and, although I thought nothing of it at the time, it's all starting to make sense now.

Here in Canada everything's metric so we only use one finger to salute.
