Preload Flash? Newbie

Does the preload function in swf objects function in Autoplay 4, or is that strictly for web pages? I'm real new to this, and noticed that my *first* Flash movie was pretty jerky at times. I know I have to pay attention and not load up the effects and content too much, but if I start with preloading content, does that make it smoother? Thanks. And expect to see more questions from me!

No, preloading will not affect flash movies run locally, only over the web. No point in using that in AMS unless the flash movie itself resides on the internet, i.e. in a web browser object.
