  • Enter & Tab key / Web Browser

Hi, I noticed that tab key doesnt work when trying to "tab" through website form fields viewed with web browser object, as well as pressing ENTER key to go to a web url. Any way to program those in, or is the viewer stuck with using the mouse. thanks.

I've noticed this too. I don't know of any workarounds.

Just thought I'd let you know that you're not alone.

Hmm. Even if you click on the web browser object first?

(If so, it could be that the keystrokes are being gobbled up by the AutoPlay menu before they can reach the web page.)

        Yep,

If you use a WebBrowser Object and go to a site with a form to fill out, you can see for yourself. You can click in the first textbox, enter you text, press TAB, and nothing.

I've confirmed the behavior and have submitted a bug report to see if anything can be done.

For the "enter" key, can anything be done by way of scripting? so, after the user types a web address in and hits enter it goes to the site? I mean, how many of you dudes click the "go" button in IE?

The user types a web address into what?

Re: Enter & Tab key / Web Browser

the URL field..., or, "The Edit field Object" acting as a URL field for autoplay apps with use in conjunction with web browser object, going to websites... I take it most people click the GO button? I stopped doing that in '96 or so, in favor of pressing enter key, but thats just me.
