  • Unable to alter .EXE icon any longer

Hi there, I have, in the past, been able to alter the default icon of my built project using Microangelo and/or ***, all has been well until the latest version (4.0.0.4). Once the icon has been changed and I try to run the project, I get an error message stating 'This program has been damaged, possibly by a bad sector of the hard drive or a virus. Please reinstall.' Has the code been altered deliberately to stop users performing this action or has something changed that I am unaware of at present and I have missed a checkbox somewhere? (The build runs fine before the icon is changed)

    TIA for any help

Hey IR that's not nice!! Okay, I'll try to convince myself it wasn't intentional.

GRIZEDALE.. Try this it seemed to work for me.

In the Micorangelo Librarian under the edit menu there is an item titled "EXE Update Method" Try changing this to the Update Graphics in Place" option. Worked for me.

Otherwise you could use and old .exe from 4.0.0.3 the only problem being if you need any of the fixes/changes in 4.0.0.4
