Hey Corey I knew that would grab your eye! LOL You told me in another post that Flash could do the job, well I got the print part down but how do I get the information ( %UserName%, %Date% e.t.c.) Into my Flash project or I should say, onto the cert.? In other words, what Actions do I use? Do I use the Text tool and attach those Actions to it? Man I can't wait for your CD.

Re: Print a certificate from Flash
As for the CD, I'm picking up my new system today. YAYAY!!! so it won't be long. (2.5 Gig Intel4 with 1 Gig of RAM and an 80G HD yippee)
As to the other, there's a couple ways. I would use the Flash Object > Set Variable action personally. Let me see if I can dig up the old example I made of this...

Re: Print a certificate from Flash
OK I have a sample project complete with flash source file for you, I just emailed it to the email addy in your profile. It's all very, very simple and very easy to understand. The Flash movie consists of a single text field, one line of actionscript, one button and one frame label.
Oh yeah, just one thing. This is set to print as vectors so it'll be sharp, etc. But if you plan to use a bitmap as a background then you need to set it up using a printasBitmap action instead of the existing print action but then you'll sacrifice a bit of sharpness. The very best thing is to make sure your certificate's background is vectors. If files size isn't a crucial issue you can always use Flash's Trace Bitmap function to accurately convert your bitmap background to a vector shape, that works great...
