• General questions

I'm currently reviewing AutoPlay for use in building training courses. I'm a bit of a novice in this arena, but it does appear that this software will do everything that I need, but I have a couple of questions:

    1. Does AutoPlay support Microsoft Access so that we could track scores of the tests that are built into the training?

    2. Does AutoPlay have any kind of email capabilities? Specifically, it would be great if an email could be generated automatically that would be sent to a specific address when someone completes a training.

    3. If a person is working through the pages of a training and stops before completing, can AutoPlay be set up to remember where that person stopped?

    Thanks for your help.

Not directly, but you could possible use an ActiveX control in the Web Browser Object. Be aware that having Microsofts Data Access Components would be required on the clients computer. Autorun wouldn't be an option without a prior install of the MDAC.

    2. Does AutoPlay have any kind of email capabilities? Specifically, it would be great if an email could be generated automatically that would be sent to a specific address when someone completes a training.
Again, not directly. You could use a PHP script on a server or even a ActiveX control in the Web Browser Object.

    3. If a person is working through the pages of a training and stops before completing, can AutoPlay be set up to remember where that person stopped?
This one is a definite. Simply save the info to the registry, or to text file. Obviously you'd have to have someway of defining who each individual was.

Thanks for the responses. It does sound like I could use AutoPlay to design training in various topics.

AutoPlay is superb for designing training material. Soon there will be some pro training CDs in our shopping area which were built with AMS including a free trial version. When I say soon I mean within the next few weeks.
