  • Windows Media Player 9 and the size of video

    Hi all,
I know that WMP 9 gives various problems but I am asking if someone have solved (if there is a solution) the problem about the fact that WMP 9 display a video only at original dimension (or at full screen). I have created a simple interface with AMS 4004 for launching and viewing a mpeg1 (352x288) scaled at 480x360. With WMP 6 and 8 I can see the video at that size, while WMP9 display at 352x288 leaving black boarders around the clip.
    Any suggestion? Thanks a lot

It' sounds like maybe it's zooming to the video size you have set in your WMP : VIEW > ZOOM settings.

Thank you Corey, but what I need is that the video must (must?) be displayed at the size definited in AMS and indipendently by the version (and the settings) of Media Player. Am I in error?

This is such a major problem for me that I'm still using version 4.0.0.3. I hope for a "fix" soon, or a work-around.

          Hai Rick,

          I had the same problem.
It disapeared when I set the "video acceleration" to "none".

Thanks Mario. But I must have that control over a user's computer - something I can set from within AMS.

I would use version 4.0.0.4 if I could force the program to use WMP 6x - and then I could still take advantage of all other new features.
