Anybody know what registry key I would look for to see if it is installed or not.

Re: McAfee Antivirus
Search the registry for a value at the key Location in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\McAfee\VirusScan
if McAfee is not installed, this location may not excist.
gr. marioprogramming is very easy, just put the characters in the right order....

Re: McAfee Antivirus
In that same spot there should be a registry key with a value showing WHERE it's installed. What you can do to ASSURE that it's installed, is have AMS lookup the registry key, then once you have the value in the variable, run a File > Get Information > Existance > %McAfeeExistance%\mcafee.exe (%McAfeeExistance% would be something like c:\program files\mcafee virus scan, so you add the mcafee executable name after it to make it c:\program files\mcafee virus scan\mcafee.exe.) Not sure if mcafee.exe is the proper main executable name, but probably something like that. All versions will more than likely always have the same executable name for the main program file.
That's the most sure fire way to ensure that mcafee is installed. The other way is fine too but if for some reason the keys werent deleted during an uninstall, it would cause problems.
