Is it possible to create a mixed mode cd with autoplay? I have audio tracks that need to play in a cd player, or if inserted into a computer the user will get a GUI that will show slides timed to the audio. I know how to do an indexed WMV, but I never had to do this with reguler cd files.

Re: Mixed mode CD
Yes you can make a mixed mode CD with audio and data. Most burning programs like Nero and Easy CD will allow you to do this. I don't know if it will work the way you want to play the audio as CD audio and then data with a slide show. You may want to convert the audio to .mp3 and include as part of the Data Project.

Re: Mixed mode CD
Luckily there is onl33 min of audio so I have enough room to duplicate the audio in a compressed format for the data side. I could then just do indexed WMVs. Or is it possible to time Autoplay pages to times in an audio track. I didn't think autoplay could get timing information from media files.

Re: Mixed mode CD
You can get the position from a .mp3 but I don't know of a way to get it from CD Audio. I have created a similar project but I did not have a timing function.TJ-Tigger

Re: Mixed mode CD
It may be kind of late for this, but for future projects here's some advice on replication-ready "enhanced" CDR Premasters made in Easy CD Creator:
It's very important that you do not use the preset modes for enhanced CD's for two reasons...it will add funny little folders (Pictures and something esle), and it will not pass the replicators testing equipment (because the laser turns off in between modes using the preset projects).
So...do the following:
Open EZ CD creator - select "Audio CD"
Drag all tracks that will make up the audio CD into the track window
Click create cd - Select "session at once" - burn.
Once finished, close EZ CD creator.
Re-open EZ CD creator, but select DATA CD.
Drag all elements that will make up the CD-ROM portion of your enhanced CD-ROM/Audio hybrid into the window and name the session, e.g., "CD-ROM Portion"
Click create cd - Select "track at once" and "close CD" - burn.
It is very odd how this works since the replicator's equipment looks for the lazer to remain on during its burn (hence the DAO "Disc At Once" mode), but this works everytime.
How do I know? Because I am the CD creator and tester at a CD replication plant. Trust me...you'll get a perfect audio CD (with no audible or trackable data portions - no fuzz or extra tracks), but one that also acts as a CD-ROM in most CD-ROM drives.
Why no all? I don't know...ask the manufacturers. In all the times I've tested this method and had it fail to read in someone's CD-ROM drive, the main-stream "EZ-CD Creator Enhanced, Mixed-Mode etc." method failed too. But theirs doesn't even pass replication inspection.
Have fun!
