MyDVD can burn a cd and creates a vcd project to do so. It converts avi files to mpeg but the mpegs end up with a .dat suffix. The trial version of AutoPlay does not allow me to put in the .dat video file. HOw can I use the contents of the MyDVD app with AutoPlay?

Re: Using Sonic MYDVD
Or, use VCDEasy, which has a feature (amongst its many tools) to convert a DAT file to a proper MPG file.
Changing the extension alone won't cut it...the header might also need to be tweaked/repaired. VCDEasy will take care of that for you.
I'm sure there are other tools out there, too.--[[ Indigo Rose Software Developer ]]
