  • Acrobat Reader

I have created a cd with a pdf file on it and the execute program command line for acrobat reader 5.0. works great on my computer, but when in other computers without 5.0, i get a pop-up saying "acrobat/reader 5.0/acroread32" not found. I cancel this pop-up and whatever reader version starts and runs fine. Is there a generic command line for whatever reader version is installed ? Thanks for your help.

    Re: Acrobat Reader

It's safer to just open the document file rather than executing acroread32 and passing the document as a parameter. Opening the document (mydoc.pdf) will perform a shell association for you automatically. As long as *some* .pdf viewer is on the system, the file will be displayed.

Thanks!, I deleted the execute program line, left the open document/pdf line and it works great.
