I use BINK video extensively in my AMS projects, but it's fairly CPU intensive. Slower Pentium IIs have trouble playing Bink videos w/ higher bitrates. I can solve this playback issuse by simply encoding at lower bitrates, but this obviously degrades the quality as well.
I'm wondering if there's any way for AMS to "check" the CPU speed of the system and load the appropriate video based on the results. For instance, any system 400 mhz and over would jump to a "hi-res" page. Anything below 400 mhz would jump to a "low-res" page. Any ideas? Anyone? Thanks in advance. I really appreciate it.
