screen blinks on start up - AMS 3.0

I have created a menu using AMS 3.0 and when the menu starts, the screen blinks for a split second. This is most annoying since I am launching the menu at the end of a Director animation. I have both the Director projector and the AMS menu set to full screen, and the desktop blinks through before the menu starts. Very un-slick. This did not happen in version 2.0. Any suggestions?

P.S. The screen also blinks when the AMS menu is launch by itself, so the problem isn't on the director side.
