QuickTime installer

Hello all!
I would like to have your program search the end users system for QT 4.0 without a splash screen coming up. If it finds the proper version then the QT movie it should then begin to play. If it does not find that version, the splash screen should then appear and ask permission to install. After doing so the QT movie should begin to play.
What is the process for this?
