  • Is AMS 2.0 compatible with Win2K

Is AutoPlay Menu Studio 2.0 not compatible with Win2K? I am using AMS on a Win98 machine to create my builds and burn CDs.

Everything works fine if I insert the final CD on my Win98 machine but nothing happens on my Win2K. Manually launching the autorun.exe file works fine.

I see no Autoplay choice when I right click the CD-Rom icon.

The Win2k machine is a loaner and I don't know how to check if autplay is enabled.

Do I need to upgrade to AMS3.0?

    Thanks

    Hi,
To check to see of the AUTORUN feature is enabled on WIN NT or WIN 2000 machines follow theses instructions:
·Edit the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Cdrom and change Autorun 0x0 to 0x1 to enable autorun. Doing this will change the setting for all users.
·To change it only for the current user, edit the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer and set the value NoDriveTypeAutoRun from 0xff to 0x95.
    ·Reboot your system.
Also, AutoPlay 2.0 is compatible with WIN 2000.

    mark.
