  • AutoPlay & Win2k

I am using AutoPlay Menu Studio 3.0.0.2. The menu's that I create work fine under win98, but when I run them under win2k pro, all that pops up is a small 'autoplay' title bar. It's as if the main graphic isn't loading...or something like that. Is there some setting in win2k that I should check?

    Re: AutoPlay & Win2k

    Hi,
This is actually an obscure display "bug" that has appeared on some systems. A patch to version 3.0.0.3, which has this display problem solved, should be available at: http://www.indigorose.com/autoplay/update.html in the next few days.

      ledger,
thanks for posting this one. I, too, have noticed this little display bar on Win98SE just before the menu plays. very annoying.

Thanks to IR for building a patch.

I also notice when hiding a text box on a page and then running the menu, that the hidden boxes flash just as the page comes up. This one is very annoying too. Mark, will the patch take care of this as well?

Thanks. Have a great day. M.

        Re: AutoPlay & Win2k

        Hi,
A few other users have posted about the TEXT BOX problem, although I have never been able to re-create it on my system. I have just been doing some tests on my system and have not been able to notice any sort of flash. Perhaps the new patch will fix the problem, since some of the things that were change had to do with how the menu was initially displayed.
If you download the patch and are still having the problem, please make sure to contact me.

          Mark,
I downloaded the patch file and when I run it, I get a message saying "a previous installation could not be found." What's up with that?

            Hi,
I'm not sure exactly what is happening here, did you uninstall version 3.0.0.2? The patch file simply updates your previous version; therefore it needs to find it on your system in order to function properly.

              Re: AutoPlay & Win2k

No...I didn't uninstall 3.0.0.2. In fact, I even tried running the patch with AutoPlay Studio running to see if it could find it. I tried it under win98 and win2k with no luck. I even reinstalled the program. Weird.

                Hi,
Well, since nothing seems to be working you could send an e-mail to [email protected] and explain your problem to them. Be sure to include your name, company name, and serial number. With this information they should be able to send you instructions on how to receive the full installation of 3.0.0.3.
