Sizing Graphics Files

Is it possible to resize graphics that are imported as an object? For example, I want to place a small graphic in the corner of the screen but when it gets imported, it seems to blow up to occupy the entire screen.

Yea it's making the graphic your background for the whole page ,if your'e on the page you want the image on - click object/image browse to your pic under *normal* image then OPEN then OK ,drag the object to where you want it.
