    kid99,

The autoPlay menu will be the front end for the CD, When someone clicks on their cdRom icon in 'My computer' the menu will be executed. Unfortunately there is no way to stop someone from browsing your CD-Rom and extracting the data.

    Any Ideas from anyone else????

Just the password protection for use is all I can think of...

Actually there is a way to prevent this from happening. Adam is right, if the user double-clicks on their CD-ROM drive while the Autorun CD is in, and assuming that they have autoplay turned on, you will only display the menu which is intended to be displayed on insertion. However, if the user right-clicks they can select OPEN and view the contents. I know of some encryption programs that will take care of this. It will dis-allow files to be copied period. I also use another program that fools the user by displaying false volume data saying that the CD is, perhaps, 4.52 GB.
That usually discourages the user but email me if you want to know more.

        I hope this helps,

i have accomplished this fact very easily
all my insttalls have been wrapped up into a custom install. it checks the registry for entries that have to be there to extract. without them, no go -- defaults to a folder name impossible to make. the user can copy any file off except the menu exe. none will run though. i then copy protected the exe file using the method mentioned under cd-rom troubleshooting. it works great. impossible to make copies of.

What is this "custom install(er?)" that you referred to, and how did you get it?
