  • Text placement/Font problems...

We've got several text elements on a page. On Win2k, they display in the correct position, but on Win98, 95, and ME, one of the elements is drastically out-of-place. The custom font that we're using also is not displaying properly on these systems (we're using UniversUltra and the font is coming up as Times). The moving text element is not in a custom font. That it displays fine on Win2k boxes would indicate that the font is properly included in the build.

    Any thoughts?

If you manually place both fonts into the Fonts folder on the Wintel box's, do they display correctly?

In my menus, I wanted a graphical looking font which I could not Find a suitable one. I used various programs to make them custom, then instead of using text, I used graphics imported from Print Screen and paint -- Little bit of a hassle, but much better looking graphics

We'll try that. Another REALLY bizzare twist, this only seems to happen if the autorun is on a CD. If we copy the files to a temp folder on the hard drive, all works well. We've tried with 5 CDs from 2 different CDR's, so I dont think it's a data corruption issue.

Yet another update. It also happens if the Autorun is run from a non C:\ drive. We created a Subst D:\ drive and copied the files there. So it's got something to do with not running from the system drive.

The image is being built on a Win2k box at 1200x1024. We'll try it at another res and on another box.
