  • Inserting Object Image without any background

    Good morning all!

How do I only get the Object Image in a Menu without the background?

Example: Let's say I want to insert one of AutoPlay Menu Studio's red pre-made buttons in a menu that has a blue gradient background. When I do the image is square and inludes not only the button but the background color as well.

Is there any way I can just grab the button itself without the rest of it? Long term I am looking at creating my own pre-mades that I can use when needed. Thanx in advance.

you need to insert the transparant color
under object properties, there is a button "set transparant color"
click it, and it gives u a crosshair. then click the color on the image u wnat transparant
    hope that works

      Dallas,
Thanx for the quick reply. Just to make sure that I understand. In the case of my example I would click on the color that makes up the 'square area' around the button.

Ah yes. It works as you said. I see why I am having a problem here. The button that I created has a shadow to it, so actually I guess you would say it has 3 separate colors. This is what is causing me the problem. Any ideas about a way around it. I could lose the shadow but it would take away from the effect.

i opened mine up in paint, and took care as to exactly what i wanted what color. i made it a green background, high contrast. one i got it looking good against teh green background the way i wanted, i used it. is this a different color shadow? a lot of time ppl, will mkae everyother pixel be the background color, it simulates a shadow, somewhat. if the every other pixel were green like in my ex, they would be seethru. it's going to be something to play around with a lot till it look sgood

            Dallas,

Yup came to the same conclusion myself. I am using Ulead's PhotoImpact v 6.0 for my graphics work. My shadow (at least in this case) is subtle. I'll get into the pixels and see what I can do with it. Thanx.
