I have put password to a programm, and it works fine, but the files can still be opened through explorer.
How can I protect the directory, so nobody can browse and see the files without a password?

    thanks

    Re: Password Protection

    Hi,
Sorry but there is no way, using AutoPlay, to password protect the files on your CD-ROM using AutoPlay.
There is software available that will allow you to password protect the files on your CD-ROM. Try doing a search on the Internet and you should come up with some hits.

    mark.

      Re: Password Protection

Along these lines...I can password protect some MS docuements like access databases from within the application. How do I grab the password variable from AutoMenu when it starts up so I can pass that along as a variable. I have not found anywhere to either grab the AutoMenu password variable (it is not listed in the help) or to prompt the user for input which I could then set as a variable.

In my previous post of course I mean AutoPlay Menu system Not AutoMenu. Thats what happens when you do things in the wee hours of the morning! :-)
