Here is the deal, I have an old company demo cd that i created using autoplay, the thing is, i just have the demo cd and no longer the .am3 file, is there any recovery or backup that might have been built into this demo that i can get back the .am3 file???

    Thanks again!!!

    Joe,

Unfortunately there is no way to recover the .am3 file from the runtime executable. You will have to start from scratch but I can give you some tips.
    1) Look at the file structure of the CD-ROM this should give you a good start.
    2) You can recover the images/sounds/embedded AVI files from the Data directory (you must manually change the filename extensions)
    DATA\*.bah, DATA\*.bal, DATA\*.brh, DATA\*.brl are Background images.

    DATA\*.dav are AVI Video objects.

    DATA\*.dah, DATA\*.dal are Image objects.

    DATA\*.daw are Sound files.

    DATA\*.ttf are Font files.

I hope that all goes well in your recovery process.

If you have a lot of files, you can write a simple batch file to rename them quickly.

Also, *.da3 files are mp3 files. I need to copy this stuff down. Might come in handy.
