  • AVI on every page?

    I cannot make it to play more than 1 small avi on the project automatically. It plays only one for whole project, (plus the intro AVI). If I put one AVI file on the main page and one on the other page, when I move to that page in preview, there’s only a white box (video codec is Indeo 32). Help!

    First of all make sure that the "start automatically" box is checked. Next you can also start an avi by making a play avi action in the page open properties. Post back if neither of these suggest help you.

      Unfortunately, I've already tryed all that but it won't work. It gives me only one playing AVI for the whole project. could it be something with the windows 98 video codecs, maybe some conflict, or something....?

        Re: AVI on every page?

        Hi,

        Have you tried your menu on any other systems? Does this error only happen on your computer or does it happen on all?

        You are right in assuming that it might be a conflict on your system, that does indeed sound like what is happening. There shouldn't be any problem playing more then one video in an AutoPlay menu at any time. In fact I just tested three AVI videos on a WIN 98 SE machine and they all played properly.

        You might want to check your SYSTEM.INI file. In the [mci] section what is "avivideo" equal to?

          Re: AVI on every page?

          Hey, Mark. this is it:
          avivideo=miroavi.drv (i have miro DRX card inside). It looks much clearer now, I probably need to set some microsoft driver as default there. Thanks for advice!

            Re: AVI on every page?

            Hi,

            You might try changing the setting to:

            avivideo=mciavi.drv
            or
            avivideo=mciqtz.drv

            I believe that 'avivideo=mciavi.drv' is the default.

            Be sure to backup your SYSTEM.INI before making any changes.

            mark.
