    Remove Icon

    I make this test. I create this setup. I install four files and I make four Icons association on desktop. When I uninstall the software only one Icon was delete on desktop. I built the Uninstall delete icon but the problem persist. I have Setup V5.0.1.O. Thank for assist

    Hi,
    I would suggest that you get the newest version (5.0.1.2) from http://www.indigorose.com/update.html. Also what is the exact Uninstall File Operation that you use? (I.e. what do you have as the Source?) Do you have the "Suppress error messages" checkbox checked? Try un-checking it and see if you get any errors.

      All the files are uninstall properly. The problem are the icons associated to the files. Only two icons are unisntall.

      I install de most rescent version of Setup Factory. I had more problem. I re install the version (5.0.1.0).

      Can you confirm to me, if you install X (more then 3) icons on the desktop you can uninstall this X icons. This is my problem at this moment.

      (excuse if it's not very comprehensible, english is not my first language)

        "Are you sure that you mean icons, or do you mean shortcuts" (I mean shortcuts).

        I make test too. I built 5 shortcuts of file on the desktop. The uninstall program remove the 5 shortcuts. Now I know It's not the SF5 bugs. I will rebuilt the projet and I will check step by step when the problem arrive. Thank for your help. I appreciate. I call you back If I do not find the solution.

        I just created a Setup that installed 5 icons to the desktop, and then ran my uninstall. It removed all the icons properly, and I did not have to edit it at all. Are you sure that you mean icons, or do you mean shortcuts? I think the best thing to do right now is get your to send me your project file. E0mail it to: [email protected]. That way I will be able to look at exactly what you are doing.

          I find the problem. I notice that. I make the shortcut of DOS program, but this shortcut have the extension PIF. We can remove the shortcut of DOS program like that. In UNINSTALL on FILE OPERATIONS we program DELETE PATCH\(DESCRIPTION SHORTCUT).PIF
