Restart ???

SF4, VB6: I created a setup without any "Autoregister ActiveX" whatsoever, no ini, bat or registry entries. Still Setup wants to restart to complete. What is updated where how why ? This drives me nuts (or more correct, it's our NT machines that go nuts; 9x are just fine afterwards).

Hi,
I'm not sure exactly what is getting updated, but Setup Factory will want to restart whenever a file, that it is supposed to replace, is in use. That way it will be able to replace the file when no other programs are using it. Basically it seems like your NT machines have a file that is in use at the time of the setup, but the 9x machines do not.
