  • Lots of Files (400) -- Ease of Use?

My project has lots of files (400). Is there a way to

    1) Change all files from one folder/drive to another?

    2) Print the list of files or SaveAs a .txt file? (The .sf5 file is scary to change!)

    3) Turn off the compression temporarily for all files? (It takes 30 minutes to do a build!) Currently, I turn off compression for the 50 biggest files, but that's a pain.

(Bye the way, otherwise, a beautiful, wonderful product!)

    Thanks in advance.

    1) Just highlight all of the files (Ctrl+A), select Edit | File Properties, and then change the Source field.

    2) Select Project | Generate Report from the menu. That will do what you are after.

    3) Just select all files (as in (1) above) and choose Edit | File Properties. Then go to the Advanced tab and turn off the Compress File option.

Thank you very much. Your suggestions did work, however SF seems to "repaint" the screen 400 times, and it takes maybe 2 minutes to do this. If I shrink the screen so only 1 line displays, though, it runs in just 3 seconds.

The Build is much much faster without the compression. This still might make a nice command-line argument: no compression globally, as an aid in testing.

Also, mysteriously, my .TTF files did not get registered on Windows 2000 after turning off all file compression. The boxes to register True Type Fonts *were* checked. Also, this worked in my previous test. Is this a bug? What to do?

      Thanks in advance.
