Re: Selecting packages to install.
Hi,
I just tested this out on my system and everything worked fine. What version of Setup Factory are you using? 5.0.1.3? When do you have the SHELL OPERATION set to fire? Is it before the user gets a chance to select your package? Have you also removed your package out of every Install Type except for CUSTOM? If you are still having problems you could send your Project File to me at: [email protected] with a brief description of your problem.

Re: Selecting packages to install.
Hi,
What you have to do is basically go to your Shell Operations CONDITIONS TAB; there you will see a Drop Down Menu called Package. This is what you will have to use, basically if you select a package in the Package drop down, that Shell Operation will only be fired if that specific package has been selected.

Re: Selecting packages to install.
Now I am worried. I did just that and it still did not work.
Here's my setup:
I have one package called WinZip which contains one file. Here are the screens I have in my project:
Welcome
Licence Aggreement
User Information
Important Information
Select Packages
Install Folder
Shortcut Folder
Ready To Install
If I do not select the package (WinZip) in the Select Packages dialog, the SHELL still runs!?
What could be going on?

Selecting packages to install.
Hello All,
I have included the Select Packages dialog in my Screen Manager and allocated one file in the distribution to a package called "TEST".
The aim is to show the screen, and if the user selects the check box, install the file.
I have an EXECUTE instruction and a FILE-DELETE-FOLDER instruction that runs this file from the user's TEMP folder, then delete it and it's temp-folder IF IT IS INSTALLED!
But I can't get the SHELL operations to ONLY function when the package is checked by the user.
What do I need to do?
