    Hi,
I was unable to view your Screen shots because the page did not exist.

I am slightly confused as to what the problem is. You are saying that you are getting two sets of the same shortcuts being created, but this cannot be unless you are telling Setup Factory to create two sets of Shortcuts. You did UN-CHECK (not CHECK) the: "Create Shortcut in Start Menu" option correct? This is the only reason that I can think of two sets of Shortcuts being created.

Now as far as the location of the Shortcuts is concerned, you are setting that in your Shortcut Command. If you want to use a different subdirectory, or a certain directory is not being created, simply set it there.

You can also create an Uninstall Icon in a different location if you want. Simply look at an Uninstall shortcut that was automatically created by Setup Factory, and mimic it using a SHORTCUT COMMAND.

If you are still having problems perhaps you should send me your SF5 project file so that I can take a look at it and see exactly what you are doing.

    mark.

If I do that then it doen't make a shortcut in the subdir which is where I want it.

what I get is the Sub Dir with shortcuts (which is what I want except I don't get the uninstall shortcut but I can live with that),

but i also get the same shortcuts in the main dir (which I dont want) So i basicly get the same shorts twice in 2 diff places.

If that makes sense I can can take a screen shot and send if you would like showing what it does.

    This Might Help
    Screen Shots

    Hi,
Double click on the file, in Setup Factory, to bring up the files File Properties dialog. On the Shortcut tab the: "Create Shortcut in Start Menu" option is probably checked, simply un-check it and everything should work properly.

    Startmenu Sub Dir??????

    Hi,
You can create sub-folders in the START menu using SETTINGS -> SYSTEM EDITORS -> SHORTCUT ICONS tab -> SHORTCUT COMMAND. Basically create your shortcuts as follows:

    Action: Create Shortcut
    Folder: %StartMenuPrograms%\%CompanyName%\Prod 1
    Shortcut Description: User's Guide
    Target File: %AppDir%\UsersGuide.doc
(this will create a shortcut in the PROD 1 subdirectory)

    Action: Create Shortcut
    Folder: %StartMenuPrograms%\%CompanyName%\Prod 2
    Shortcut Description: Main Document
    Target File: %AppDir%\Help.doc
(this will create a shortcut in the PROD 2 subdirectory)

Remember that since you create these shortcuts using the Shortcut Editor you must manually remove them using the Uninstall Shortcut Editor.
