  • File skipped during install - why

My setup.exe works fine everywhere except on Windows ME machines where, occassionally, it skips installing one of my files when it already exists in the target folder.

What can I do about this?

    Hi,
How do you know that the file is being skipped? Is it newer then the file that you are installing? What are the settings for the file in Setup Factory? I.E. Look on the File Properties dialog, General Tab, "If file already exists" field. What do you have selected in that field?

    mark.

Hi Mark-o-my-heart (sorry hard not to be effusive late Friday - hard week) ,
I know its being skipped because that is how its reported in the log file.

The settings for the file were "Overwrite if existing file is same or older" and I have changed this to "Always overwrite" -should fix it I hope.... thanks,
